Sounds of the Sixties Cavern Showcase was a venture formulated by Kingsize Taylor, his wife Marga and his friend Wes Paul to raise money for musicians, who played in THE 60's, and who fall on hard times or become ill.
Between between 13th November 2005 and 2nd September 2007, they hosted weekly shows at the world famous Cavern Club, Liverpool featuring hundreds of different bands ranging from new up and coming young groups to original 60s artists like the Undertakers, Kingsize Taylor & the Dominoes, The Mojos, The Delrenas, Rave On, Wes Paul, Faron's Flamingos and many more... In February 2006 Rebecca Simpson joined Wes Paul as Publicity Manager - producing and distributing Fliers Posters and organising schedules - initially purchasing the materials with her own money... She subsequently became the webmaster...
In total they hosted 77 Showcases and several more big charity shows. The last show took place on Sunday 2nd September. Wes Paul also compered and played at the official 'The Cavern 50th Anniversary Show'
Since then Wes and Rebecca Paul have been busy running shows and events in the Calderdale area of West Yorkshire. Kingsize and Marga moved to Germany where Kingsize has a new band called Kingsize Taylor and The Brotherhood of Rock and Soul...

Altogether Wes Paul organised stage managed and performed in 87 show at The Cavern in Liverpool. During that time and since Wes Paul has worked as actor in TV, Theatre and The film industry as a playwright and script editor. He has just completed a short film, as Associate Producer, written by Becky Simpson - who also Produced the film. Filming took place in several locations in Manchester - UK over April/May 2010. We will be appearing in 'West is West' and the 2010 World Cup - Nike Commercial. Wes has recently been on a tour of the Southern States (Manchester to Memphis Tour) with his band The Wes Paul Band along with his Wife Rebecca . They Recorded their first album in Memphis in May 2010 - at Sun Studios where Elvis made his first record. They recorded amongst others: That's All Right
